We have been having operating sessions on my layout now for over 4 years. We have a dedicated group of model railroaders who are very interested in prototype operations and bringing that to model railroading. Ironically, most of the crew are active professional railroaders working for CSX and the EPRY. We have implemented a card system, spearheaded by Dave Sommers. A train schedule has already been established and is based on the real schedule that CSX runs today on the Philadelphia Subdivision. Ship it software was purchased for the operations portion of this layout, but was shelved due to its very complicated setup. Some pictures from previous operating sessions are below.
